Story writing workshop

Once upon a time ...

There are 2 basic kinds of stories.

1. A drama with a hero, a villan and supporting elements.

2. A conflict resolution, containing a problem, a set of events and a solution.

A story must have a begining, a middle and an end, connected by a progression of events and situations.

A story must answer the questions:

Who
When
What
How

A story can be a journey through situations. A story helps develop, understand and conclude. A story is an experience, evoking feelings, convey growth and must evolve. A story can have a sad or happy ending.

A story must have a twist in the tale.

Give the story a KISS of life.

Keep It Simple Stupid!

Alternatively,

Describe a character and draw this original cartoon character.

Create an event or situation with supporting characters and/or villen

What happens at the event or in the situation?

What is the problem/discovery/difficulty?

What is the unique solution?

Where is the twist in the tale?

How does the story end?

The 3 most important things about an animation film are:

The story, the story and the story!
