Study the animation footage you have shot and break it up into events. Note the time and mood for each event. Create your own music for each of the events. By mouth: Say, "Boom boom taka taka ....". Some people can imitate a guitar, saxaphone. Some are good at animal and bird sounds. Record these. They work well with animation. Use a musical instrument, keyboards are good enough. Download sounds from the internet. There are many free sound banks. For each event you will ideally require, 1. Musical sound track creating the mood of the event. Sunrise will sound different than a departmental store. 2. Special effects sound track will contain sounds of cars, doors opening, wind, thunder, etc. 3. Ambient sound track is necessary to earth the film. Recordings of street sounds make the film feel real. 4. Dialogue track You will need to tweek their volumes and fade them in and out during editing, so record a little more than you require. |
